The other day I was flipping through a Free People magazine I got in the mail, and a certain recurring trend caught my eye. Scarves being tied directly at the neck… almost looking ascot-like. To my surprise, I actually love the way this looks. Where had I seen this before? Well, they were all over the runways for Fall/Winter 2015-16.
In fact this trend showed up in New York, Milan, and Paris for several shows, each styled differently. Fall/Winter 2015-2016, Chloe, Paris Fall/Winter 2015-2016, Moncler Gamme Rouge, Paris Fall/Winter 2015-2016, Bottega Veneta, Milan Fall/Winter 2015-2016, Marc by Marc Jacobs, New York Obviously, not all statements made on the runway show up in everyday fashion, but these scarves are subtle and stylish enough to most definitely have the possibility of showing up in everyday fashion. Not all of these looks take on the exact form of an ascot or neck tie scarf, but they definitely seem inspired by them.
