Labor Day is just around the corner, but that does not mean you should ditch your favorite white ensemble. Many of us ignore the “no white after Labor Day” rule, but wearing white can still be intimidating. White fabrics can be transparent and every single wrinkle and pucker is accentuated. With the right fabric and silhouette choices, wearing a lot of white can be surprisingly flattering.
I came up with two thrifted looks to show you guys how I like to rock white after Labor Day. Both looks are inspired by two of my favorite models!Look #1: My first look is inspired by Liya Kebede’s elegant Grecian gown by Lemlem. I was determined to find the perfect white dress to mimic this look, and was pleasantly surprised when I found this lightweight maxi in Target’s clearance section. This comfortable and chic dress set me back $14. I created a cinched waistline by throwing a patterned sleeveless button up over the dress and tying the ends together.
